Managing auto updates for a large number of WordPress sites is a complex task. You need to ensure the right plugins update on the right sites at the right time.
Our latest enhancements to auto updates give you more control and a smoother workflow. These updates focus on better organisation and a clearer interface for your agency.
Organising sites with tags
You can now filter your sites using tags when you set up auto updates. Selected tags also appear next to each site name in the list. This makes it much easier to identify and bulk-manage specific sites.
For example, your agency may manage a mix of WooCommerce stores and simple brochure websites. You can tag all your WooCommerce stores with a specific label.
Furthermore, when you want to enable auto updates for a specific payment gateway plugin only, you can filter by that tag. This ensures you only apply the update settings to the relevant stores.
Clearer plugin and theme selection
The interface for selecting all plugins and themes is now more intuitive. We have updated the visuals and improved the logical handling of these selections. This reduces confusion when you are deciding which elements of a site should update automatically.
Suppose you are onboarding a new batch of 20 sites. You want to enable auto updates for certain themes and plugins across all of them to save time. The new layout allows you to select exactly what you need with confidence. You can see what is included in the process.
Direct scheduling from site details
The site details page now features a dedicated scheduled updates section. You no longer need to navigate away from an individual site to manage its automation. You can create and adjust auto updates directly from this page.
Suppose you are investigating a specific site for a client. You notice that several low-risk plugins are pending updates. Instead of going back to the main dashboard, you can set up a new auto update schedule right there. This keeps your workflow fast and contained.
Better readability and reliability
We have updated text labels and icons across the entire auto updates flow. The user experience is now cleaner and easier to navigate.
How to use the feature
To use these enhancements, log in to your dashboard and go to the auto updates section. Use the new tag filter to find a group of sites. You can also open a specific site and look for the scheduled updates section on the details page.
These improvements are part of our commitment to making site management more efficient for agencies. We will continue to refine these tools to help you manage more sites with less effort.
