WP Remote’s New APIs: Make Data Access Effortless
Spending hours maintaining client sites?
WP Remote will streamline your WordPress maintenance process and save you at least 4 hours per site every week.
APIs are a great way of aggregating data from multiple sources into custom dashboards. We’ve created GET APIs for WP Remote, so you can integrate insights from your premier site management tool into client dashboards easily.
Integrate data spread over different tools and services, and discover key insights. Correlate fluctuations in site traffic with uptime stats and firewall logs. Check when ads or other marketing campaigns impact user flow. The wealth of WP Remote data is now automatically at your disposal.
Your data, your way
Our new APIs provide the tools you need to access essential data from your managed sites effortlessly. Whether you’re looking to build custom dashboards, integrate with your existing workflows, or automate routine tasks, our GET APIs give you the flexibility to customize solutions.
Here’s an example of how our GET APIs can empower your client management. If you manage multiple client websites, regular performance reports are a necessity for you and your clients. With our GET APIs, you can pull data on site traffic, update status, and plugin performance directly into a custom dashboard. This automation can save hours of manual reporting each week, freeing you to focus on more strategic tasks.
How to access your API credentials
To get started with the GET APIs, you will need your API credentials from the Account > My Account section of your WP Remote dashboard. This feature is currently available to account owners and co-owners only.
The API Credentials section has the API Username and Key.
- The Username is already set but hidden; you can either make it visible or simply copy it.
- The Key is not set and has to be generated. Click on Generate to do so. Immediately copy the generated API key as it will only be shown once for security reasons.
All our APIs come with robust security layers to protect your data.
Thorough API documentation
We’ve also published detailed API documentation to help you make the most out of our API. This resource will help you integrate our APIs seamlessly into your projects.
As we continue to add features, we will update the documentation as well.
What’s next?
Currently, you can use 10 GET APIs, but we will be adding many more. Here’s what you can expect next:
1. Expanding API range: We’re planning to add GET APIs to cover additional use cases.
2. New API methods: We will be adding POST, PATCH, PUT, and DELETE API methods for even greater interaction with your managed sites.
3. Rate limiting: Future updates will include rate-limiting features across all APIs to ensure optimal performance and stability.
Have a specific use case or feature you would like to see? Write to us, and we’ll add it to our API roadmap.
